Bingos and casinos: why not volunteer at a Barons bingo or casino and receive a chance to win a trip for two to any destination served by West Jet! Plus, we will send you for a complimentary visit to the refreshment stand at the bingo or casino.
Oil Barons games: picture yourself as a volunteer ticket-taker, security person, 50/50 seller, off-ice official, souvenir stand attendant (in-between periods) plus more! Being a part of the electricity and excitement of game night, being a member of the Oil Barons team, what could be better? Plus, you'll get to put your name in for the draw for a trip to your destination of choice when you get to the rink.

A message from our billet coordinator
Greetings !
And thank you for taking an interest in becoming a billet family. Billets play a vital role in the success of the Fort McMurray Oil Barons. Without them, our team would not be able to operate as most of the boys that play on the team are from out of town. Therefore, we are always looking for new billet families.
Billeting can be a very exciting and rewarding experience for all those willing to open up their homes to dedicated players of the Fort McMurray Oil Barons. Many families who have billeted in the past usually look back at their experience with fond memories. In fact, the majority still keep in contact with the players that lived with them as they move on in life, either through professional hockey or another career choice.
Whether you are new or a long time resident of Fort McMurray, billeting is a great way to meet people. You will become as involved with the hockey organization as you want to be. Many billets attend all the home games and subsequently, you will find them after the game waiting for "their boys" in the lobby of the Casman Centre. This is usually when you get a chance to meet with the other billet families.
Each billet family is paid a monthly amount of $500.00 per player (in addition to receiving milk & bread coupons) to house the player in their home. You would be responsible to provide each boy at least one good meal and have the food available so they could cook the other meals themselves. Chores around the house are usually discussed between each player and billet family. As well, each family is given two season tickets and two playoff tickets per player billeted.
