The Digital Content Coordinator is an upbeat and organized individual who plays a pivotal role on the Digital Marketing Team. This role is primarily focused on creating, supporting, and publishing strategic social campaigns to drive brand awareness, grow the Minnesota Wild’s social media footprint, generate revenue via corporate sponsorships and ultimately grow the State of Hockey.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Support strategies for unlocking new audiences and revenue opportunities while growing engagement with current fans.
  • Interact with fans, run in-game contests, and cover the action live.
  • Craft brand or product stories that will engage audiences on an emotional level.
  • Assist with scheduling and posting photos, videos, articles etc. to all major social media platforms on a day-to-day basis that will engage and grow our various channels.
  • Assist with giving day-to-day direction to department intern during season.
  • Execute fan-focused and data-driven strategies with short deadlines.

  • Work closely with teams across the organization, including Creative Services, Video Production, B2C and B2B marketing, Hockey Operations and Ticketing.
  • Attend:
    • Community events
    • Foundation events
    • Player hospital visits
    • Brand activation initiatives (pregame parties, etc.)
    • Home and away games (as needed)
    • Any other event that requires content support
  • Schedule & post content for the following accounts: (major & minor accounts)
    • MN Wild
    • Wild Gives Back
    • MN Wild Pup
    • Wild on 7th (as needed)
    • Hockey Day Minnesota (as needed)
  • Daily maintenance on the following accounts: (major & minor accounts)
    • MN Wild
    • Wild Gives Back
    • MN Wild Pup
    • Wild on 7th
    • Hockey Day Minnesota
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

  • College degree in marketing, communications, or other related field, sports emphasis is a plus.
  • Knowledge of hockey is required.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Exposure using social media analytics is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.).
  • Experience managing content for accounts on Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Tik Tok and YouTube.
  • Previous experience working with a content calendar is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with project management systems (Wrike preferred).

Work Conditions

  • Ability to work traditional office hours as well as nights, weekends and holidays as needed for home games and events.
  • Travel up to 40% (away games, league meetings, draft, etc.)
  • Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc.
